Akron BPW's meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Akron Woman's City Club, in Akron, OH from September thru June.  Each meeting features networking, dinner, informational and fun programming and a business meeting. Monthly programming is designed to provide professional enhancement and education to our members and guests.

Below is just brief background information about our organization that we would like to share with you:

• Advocacy - BPW/OHIO local and regional legislative representatives keep members well informed of legislation affecting women and their families' economic, educational and health issues.
• Education – BPW/Akron, BPW/OHIO  offer scholarships, grants and loans to women who want to achieve greater equity in today's workforce. Over $5 million has been awarded to over 7,000 recipients.
• Member Benefits Include: Business Training Seminars: On-line Job Search and Placement Services: Investment and Insurance Programs: Discount Travel and Business Products and Services. BPW/OHIO members are also eligible for admittance to BPW/OHIO Retirement Living Centers.
• BPW has over 26,000 members in 1,000 local organizations. Membership is open to all individuals who support our issues. We meet monthly to network and develop new skills in a professional environment.

BPW supports local domestic violence shelters and works to eliminate violence and discrimination against all.
